October 3, 1992: Sinead O’Connor appeared on Saturday Night Live singing an acapella cover of Bob Marley’s song “War”, changing some of the lyrics to include references to child abuse, and ending the performance by tearing up a photo of Pope John Paull II and saying “fight the real enemy”.
This ruined her career and she was telling the truth, as we all came to find out years later.

trans women are so fucking hot. i luckily live in an area that has a lot of trans women and every time i meet a new gal it’s like i’m seeing beauty for the first time all over again- the only times i’ve ever experienced breathtaking sapphic energy that stopped me in my tracks and made me want to beg for more was around other trans women!
tall girls with flat chests that wear cute blouses with frills and loose straps and have cute nails. girls with beards, with strong jaws, big arms and broad chests who wear dresses and never raise their voices. girls who wear their hair short, and flannels and rugged outdoorsey clothes and wanna take you fishing. alternative girls who live in t-shirts and jeans with cute fluffy hair and laugh that lifts your soul. catgirls, doggirls, furry girls, nerdy girls with anime merch and stuffies and pink everything. girls who haven’t transitioned, girls who have, girls who do whatever- doesn’t matter, trans girls are fucking angelic !

Ruby Bridges is 68. This is not ancient history. Not even close.
I know Ruby. She’s a really nice person. The idea that they would try and write what she did as a girl out of history is shocking to me on so many levels, the simplest of which is just, but don’t they know how lovely she is?
When my kiddo finally decided (at age 20) that it was time for (most of) his enormous Lego collection to go, it was a gut-wrenching moment for me (goodbye childhood!). However, we used this service, which was simple and hassle-free.
This is wonderful to know.

It wasn’t boomers who made it impossible to survive on a librarian or gardener’s salary - it was rich people.
Plenty of boomers work as librarians, teachers, gardeners, and so forth, and are finding that as the cost of living skyrockets and corporations take over more and more of the world, that their salary is no longer able to support them.
And thus you have boomers - who understand how much you want to be a librarian because they also work as librarians - going bankrupt, losing their homes, drowning in debt, and dying because of unaffordable healthcare. And they get why you’re becoming an IT specialist instead of a librarian - because they! Know! That you can’t survive! On a librarian’s salary anymore!
On the flip side, the rich people sucking money out of every service and person they can! Aren’t! Always! Boomers! Tons of them are Gen X! And an increasing number are millennials! I haven’t seen a Gen Z billionaire yet but I’m willing to bet there’s a couple by now!
Oh, and it’s not like they “don’t know” how much people want to do these sorts of jobs - they do! That’s how they justify underpaying people, because it’s your passion, you don’t ~need~ to be paid a living wage for your passion.
You have more in common with poor boomers than you do with Kylie Jenner (born 1997). Go and talk to them. Organize with them. You’ll find they have a lot to offer once you stop dismissing them as rich old folks who ruined the economy.
As someone with a super leftist boomer father I feel this
He’s so fucking stupid <3
Sound on I beg you
